from 62 reviewsI can't say enough good things about this terrific new takeaway place. I was visiting here from out West & looking for a place to grab some grub before a comedy show( which ended up being cancelled sadly), but the owner of this great spot brightened all of our evenings when she offered to cook up a special dinner for myself & 2 others. I have tons of food sensitivities, but she whipped up an oh so delish tender grilled chicken, yummy mashed potatoes & grilled veg.
We weren't sure if we'd b able to find a place where I could eat, & were about to give up, until we called here. The owner was oh so sensitive, caring & accomadating to my needs, & I can't thank her enough! I wish I still lived in KW so I could enjoy this establishment more. Good luck, & continued success in your new venture.
I highly recommend this new hidden gem in the culinary takeout world of Kitchener Waterloo.
This was such an amazing meal! Everything was prepared fresh and from scratch. I had the Bacon Buddy and their home fries are mouthwatering good! They also included a personalized note on my order which was extremely thoughtful! Will be ordering again or dining in!
Friendly and personable staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We had a fruit scone and a savoury scone and they were tender and delicious. Great coffee, too. We will be back!
Finally got a chance to check out East End Annie's- I tried an iced caramel latte and a variation on "The Berlin" ( they were out of sauerkraut so the owner replaced with some olives and pickles after a discussion). Both were so delicious- the latte was smooth and creamy and I could tell the espresso shot was pulled well. The sandwich was mouth-watering- salty, savoury, umami, Briney goodness. The lightly spiced fries with housemade smoked ketchup- perfection. The highlight of the menu seems to be the meticulously constructed sandwiches and I am so excited to go back and try more creations ♥️
The service here is amazing. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming which adds to the intimate but welcoming atmosphere. I had the veggie pesto sandwich which was loaded with grilled vegetables and on thick slices of sour dough bread. Overall the experience with the staff and the food was 5/5, I will definitely be going back.
I hadn't thought from walking by that East End Annie's did much food, but saw photos online when I was looking for a quick Sunday lunch.
I was just looking for a basic egg sandwich, and they gave me a *perfect* egg sandwich (bacon buddy). Very, very good. Now I definitely want to return to try their other options.
Their lemon tart was also perfectly lemony. I love lemon tart but always hesitate to order it because so many places make it too sweet and cloying. Now I know where to go when I crave it.
Very friendly and accommodating staff, nice vibe.
Thanks Annie's, see you soon!
Absolutely banging breakfast sandwich. They even brought us some lemon tart just to try. It was also delicious
Visited for the first time—and it won’t be the last! The experience was fantastic from start to finish. The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and clearly made on-site with care. The owner, Alicia and her team were exceptionally warm and welcoming, making it feel like you were stepping into her own kitchen.
There are great vegetarian and vegan options, along with creative dips, toppings, and combinations that are both unique and satisfying. Portions are generous, making it a perfect spot for a hearty lunch, a coffee break, or a quick snack.
Beyond the food and hospitality, it was genuinely heartwarming to see how Alicia interacts with her team. There's a strong sense of inclusion, teamwork, and mutual respect that adds something special to the whole experience.
Highly recommend—and I’ll definitely be back!
Its a small classic coffee shop, with a vibrant coffee culture and snacks , absolutely worth visit at downtown.
East End Annie’s is a hidden gem for hearty, homemade comfort food — with amazing vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, all available for takeout only — perfect for cozy meals at home.
We started with the Mad Apple Parmesan, a longtime vegetarian favourite now newly released as vegan! Choose between classic mozzarella or vegan mozzarella — either way, it’s rich, flavourful, and deeply satisfying.
The Chick Norris Burger was a knockout: lightly breaded, marinated for 24 hours in buttermilk, and stacked with creamy housemade ranch, dill slaw, and hot butter buffalo sauce. Crunchy, tangy, and spicy — every bite hit the mark.
